Your Cake

This Chick Makes Cakes works with each client on an individual basis to ensure that your cake is unique to you and your event. Because we believe every event is special and deserves a cake to reflect that, other cake photos are welcome as inspiration but will not be reproduced. When your cake is unveiled for all to see you can truly say it is one of a kind! This Chick Makes Cakes would ideally like at least two weeks notice for celebration cakes, and at least eight weeks notice for wedding cakes

Pricing for each cake is based on serving amounts, the degree of detail, ultimate design, and flavour choices. Please contact This Chick Makes Cakes for your quote.

Bridal Consultation/Cake Tasting

Bridal Consultations are by appointment only.

Each consultation will offer a sample box that will have an assortment of some of This Chick’s most popular cake and buttercream combinations, allowing you to try not only the tried and true favourites, but a few new flavour combos you might not have even thought of! There is a $15.00 non refundable fee for sample boxes. Each consultation will take between 30-60 minutes, depending on the full details of your cake, so any inspiration pieces, colour swatches or photos, for example, that you think will lend itself to the vision of your cake, by all means bring them along.

The $15.00 fee for sample boxes is not considered a deposit on your cake and cannot be used to hold your wedding date.

Consultations and tastings are offered in the last week of each month.

Consultations are not offered on orders under $200.00 but sample boxes may be ordered.

Delivery

This Chick Makes Cakes strongly recommends all orders be delivered. Transporting baked goods, especially cakes, requires special handling and care to ensure everything arrives undamaged and intact. If you choose to pick your order up, rather than having it delivered, any damages that may occur to any items once they has left the premises are NOT the responsibility of This Chick Makes Cakes. Pick up and delivery times will be set up on ordering. Prices for delivery vary depending on location.

Payment Options

Payments can be made via cash or e-transfer A deposit of half is due when ordering wedding cakes and the remaining balance is due two weeks prior to the event. A deposit of $25.00 is required on all celebration cakes up to $200.00. Orders over $200.00 require a $50.00 deposit. Orders placed within 7 days prior to event are subject to a rush order fee.

Orders are not considered booked until a deposit is received.

Dates are not held until a deposit has been received.

Cancellations

Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Cancellation of your order within 2 weeks of event date will result in 100% forfeiture of all monies, and cannot be applied against any future orders. Orders cancelled due to nonpayment will be subject to a $25.00 rebooking fee.
